Let me tell you a little about reborn dolls and how I became interested in them.
I have always been very creative and enjoyed making many things throughout my life. From arts and crafts to sewing to making jewellery, I have always had a passion for anything home made. I also have a passion for children ( of which I have 5!!) So when I first came accross reborn dolls on the internet I was fascinated and soon saw an opportunity to combine my passions together.
Reborn dolls are dolls that have been painted and gently restored to resemble a newborn infant as closely as possible. The hair is rooted each strand at a time from premium mohair. The skin tone is achieved by many layers of quality Genesis heat set paints painstakingly applied to include every detail imaginable. Their bodies are weighted to achieve the same weight as a newborn baby and may be doe suede cloth, full vinyl or front / back vinyl plated (with a tushie or anatomically correct front plate).
Most reborn artists offer custom services ranging from your choice of gender, eye and or hair colour to restoration of old dolls to portrait dolls which are dolls made to match a photograph (usually of the customers own child as a baby)
I take the utmost care creating each and every doll you see displayed on this site and use only the very best materials available. I constantly research my craft to find new and improved techniques and or sculpts. No detail is overlooked and I always aim to please.
